The electric smoker is made from 100%18 gauge, 304 stainless steel and is designed for ease of use and portability


Every Smokin-It Model #2 smoker comes with:

  • Four locking heavy duty 4" diameter casters (need to be attached)
  • Four stainless steel grilling racks, room for five, rack size is 14-1/2" x 14-1/2", racks are 2-1/2" apart
  • Drip pan that slides under smoker
  • Smoker is predrilled on left side for the Bella cold smoke generator
  • Side handles for easy movement of smoker
  • Double latch door system
  • A rheostat for temperature control from 100F-250F degrees, can hold +/-35 degrees from set point

Probably read this before I wish I would have got the next size up but I'm extremely happy with what I did get. Easy clean and everything mad so far has just been awesome. The Model #2 is extremely efficient on wood usage too. Prime rib, chicken and ribs have all been great.

I've had this smoker for almost 3 months. I purchased the Auber unit to control it and have cooked on it every weekend (mainly ribs).

The set it and forget it is a game changer.

I was a bit concerned with not getting enough smoke. But after using it a few time and trying different approaches, I can put too much smoke in the food.

For producing better & more smoke I drilled a hole in the bottom (front and of to the right) where I insert a bit of a high temp 3/16 hose coming from a fish tank pump that pumps outside air into the smoker to provide a bit more oxygen for the wood to continue burning clean and I can also use more than the 3.5 oz of chunks that are recommended . I know this might be more of a challenge with the analog model. For me, the WIFI Auber makes it more enjoyable.

This is very well made and deserves your serious consideration even in analog mode.

Going on 2 years with the #2 w/analog dial. Too bad they won’t let you post pics because my pork butt, turkey breast and brisket have been unbelievable for someone who has never smoked.  The brisket is the only one that didn’t go as well as I hoped but I know I made a mistake and bought a small trimmed one, I won’t do that again. The turkey/ pork butt is so good that my wife’s family with 20 plus people have determined I will provide the meat for all Easter’s and Thanksgiving.  I have not mastered ribs or a full brisket but I will.  

*** Lastly, the reasons I bought this smoker was 1) my buddy had a similar one and 2) I didn’t want to babysit wood or pellet and F-up wasting $$$ and time.  I have smoked over a dozen times and haven’t wasted a penny or my time.  Oh buy a ChefIQ, I can leave the house and still monitor the cook.

I love this smoker. Easy a pie. put the meat in turn it on and there is no fussing around with gas, wood or fooling around with temp. control. When the butt reaches 200* chow down. The stainless steel has tarnished and stained somewhat. (- one star for that.)
Now for the cover, it lasted only 3 years and it costs over $100 now. Very poor value indeed. Smokin-it should include the cover with the purchas of a smoker. After all these arn't inexpencive smokers.
