Buy This Smoker!!!
April 25, 2013
Reviewer: Todd from Palm Coast, FL United States
I've tried them all, wood, electric, charcoal, gas, you name it. But this little smoker is "the Bomb". Wish I'd found it hundreds of dollars ago. Even a first timer will get great results using this smoker. Friends are supplying the ribs if I will smoke them in my smoker for a cookout. Can't beat that! Free ribs!

This Smoker packs a lot of punch!
January 24, 2013
Reviewer: Craig from Montreal, QC, Canada
This little thing is a beast. I am very impressed with this smoker. I live in Montreal and recently it has been anywhere from -25 to -42 celcius, and this thing still cooked up great pork butts, and ribs in the same time you would expect in the summer. It comes with 2 racks, but fits 3, I recommend ordering a 3rd rack, look at the fish rack, it works great for snack sticks too. I also recommend the cover, and the wood chip cover, it allows you the option to cook with chips instead of chunks if thats all you have. I researched smokers for about 4 months before deciding on this one, and i'm very happy with my decision. Also, the amount of food that can be cooked at one time is deceiving. I fit a 10 pound pork butt on the bottom shelf, and above it had room for mac n cheese and some ABT's, and still could have fit in a few more pounds of meat. Definitely a quality made product.

Great Smoker
January 7, 2013
Reviewer: Tim Byl from Sioux Center, IA United States
I have had this smoker for over a year, and it is the best smoker I have ever used. It is so easy to use, my wife wants to use it on a regular basis. You can smoke everything from Thanksgiving Turkey to Mac & Cheese. We liked it so much we bought one for my Dad for Christmas.

model #1 smoker
October 29, 2012
Reviewer: Michael Davis from Goodrich, MI United States
I ordered the unit on a Friday and recieved it on the following Wednesday. Seasoned it that night and had it ready for the weekend smoke. Did a 12lb Brisket as the maiden voyage and it turned out great. Very easy to use and clean up. I'm thinking about another already. Thanks for the great unit and the quick delivery.
One year later, I have been using this unit at least once a month for the last year, it still works great and gives good heat and smoke. I can cook 17 pounds of pork shoulder in 17 hours to 190 degrees without worrying about having to check the unit every half hour or so like my propane unit needed. Very good product, I would recommend for anyone.

Good little unit
September 29, 2012
Reviewer: Daniel Chapala from Algonquin, IL United States
My unit arrived within 48 hours of ordering with a hand signed letter thanking me for my purchase. I broke in the smoker per the instructions.
I attempted to cook two very meaty pork back ribs for my first attempt. After four hours of smoking, the ribs were cooked, but still not tender. I will try one more hour next time.
The following week I smoked two bone-in pork chops for 3hrs 15min and they came out good. They seemed warm but not hot.
I tried a 8lb pork shoulder that I smoked for 9 1/2 hours at 250F. The internal temperature was at 160F. Next time I will try 1.5lbs per hour or longer. I think it will help.
Overall I am impressed with construction and set up with the racks and rack holders. I wish was deeper so I could put full slabs of ribs into it. The smoker #3 was just too big for my needs. I will still do some more experimenting and get this little guy dialed in.

Blew my socks off
July 14, 2012
Reviewer: Mark Tetrault from Benson, AZ United States
After using a smoke box in my Weber Gas Grill, and a Brinkman Gas Vertical Smoker with less than satisfactory results, I did some research on "best smokers" and while there were many listed as great, the Smokin It smokers were rated very high and were similar to one of the top rated smokers. Since I am not one to babysit a gas smoker or a wood fire I wanted to try an electric model and the features and price of the Smokin It #1 seemed to fit the bill. So I pulled the trigger and bought one.
It arrived promptly and assembly was quick, snap on the wheels and hang the racks and it was ready. I ran a smoke pre-treat burn in it as recommended and the next day I tried my 1st rack of ribs. Using the provided sample of hickory, I loaded up my dry rubbed ribs and smoked them per the directions that came with the smoker. They turned out GREAT. I have since smoked a brisket and more ribs all of which exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend this unit.

Works flawlessly, easy cleanup, encourages use!
June 26, 2012
Reviewer: MG from Missouri, United States
Like others mentioned, I had a cheap bullet smoker that was impossible to keep at temperature in cold weather. I bought this smoker in early November 2011.
Another repeat - all the options you can buy at big box stores look cheaply made. I decided to invest more money in what I hoped would be an upgrade.
Success! Since I purchased my Smokin It Model 1, Ive smoked whole and half chickens, sirloin tips, eye of round, mixed nuts, leg of lamb, ribs, salmon, and even salt! It is efficient, doesnt draw much electricity, keeps temperature in cold weather, and doesnt take much wood.
The cleanup is so easy, it encourages you to use the smoker! I never used my prior smoker more than 3 times per year. We now use our Smokin It smoker 1-3 times per month!
This smoker can still hold a lot. I got a 15 pound turkey in there - it is likely the high end of turkey size. If youre upgrading from an inexpensive smoker - this is a TRUE upgrade. Im glad I bought the Smokin It!

Smokin-IT Rocks!! Kepping It Simple.
June 22, 2012
Reviewer: Joe Mattioli from Penfield , NY United States
I was about to buy a more Nationally known brand smoker . then at the last minute A friend said to look into a Smokin-it model. Read the reviews and found no caveats in them . As a novice I didn't need complicated formulas or special chips. I made the purchase on impulse and I am VERY pleased with the results of my first few endeavors This product is simple to use, WELL INSULATED, it does the job, and just about nothing to go wrong with it. Its Amazing what food tastes like using this. I've loved smoked meats for years and have sampled them from all around the country. I'd put the end results up against most anything I've tried from anywhere. Pork Beef Chicken and Fish can be done EASILY with this unit. Quality Built Unit with quality parts and Simple to use. You will not be sorry if this is your choice. If you buy something else just for the price, and things go wrong.. This is the unit you'll wish you had bought the first time.

Awesome Build Quality
April 7, 2012
Reviewer: Greg Nash from Halifax, NS Canada
Amazing little smoker! I love this thing. I've only had mine for a few weeks but have done multiple smokes including full pork butt, ribs, cheese and salmon. It's very well constructed and is very energy efficient; the little 250 watt element actually only draws current maybe 1/2 the time.
The food is considerably different than out of my Primo ceramic cooker, not better, not worse, just different; the bark on ribs or a 12 hr pork butt is softer yet still almost black, smokey and moist. I highly recommend this smoker to anyone.
