I purchased the model #1 and have used it 5 times with excellent results. I can fit about 9 half-racks of baby back ribs in when I use the rib rack along with the top shelf.

Excellent service too. I had purchased the unit during a pre-tax day sale. A free cover was to be included. The cover was not included in the original delivery but Smokin' It sent a cover out shortly after I informed them of the oversight.

Highly recommended.

I never write a review, but, after using this great smoker for about one year, I wanted to say how much I have enjoyed it.

It meets every expectation. Great build quality. Nice size for home use. Easy to clean. Stays cool on the outside. Casters are good quality and the unit is easy to move around.

Cooks go as expected, very consistent and great smoke flavor from very little wood.

I just purchased the #1 . my first smoke with this well built little bomb, was a 5lb pork sirloin rib roast.i used a small amount of Peach chunks 2 (highly recommended on pork). the pork roast was as good as iv'e ever smoked. balanced smoke thru out the cuts.love the fact that you can use chunks in an electric smoker.

This was my first electric smoker have been very pleased. Thanks for a great product! I have used the heck out of that thing. I am a complete novice yet I have received many compliments and people actually think I have some clue how to smoke good food.

Called Smokin-It with question about Model 1 smoker and sounded like he was out of office and he picked up on his cell phone. Sounded like he was in the middle of something but he took the time to answer my questions,
was very polite and was happy for my business. Shipped smoker the same day and it arrived in 3 days with cheapest shipping method. Look forward to writing review on smoker soon

15 years ago I bought a a horizontal barrel style smoker. On 3 separate occasions the results were inedible.
Since that time I have always left the smoking to the experts.

1 year ago while browsing Amazon I saw the Smokin-It line and their awesome reviews. I wanted to buy one, but $300 is a lot if the results were similar to my previous experience. Eventually, I decided it was worth the gamble. I received my model 1 and began preparing some ribs, caking them in rub. I smoked them at too high a temp and did not let them rest in foil long enough. Despite my failings the results were decent.
This weekend I tried a new technique, the 3-2-1 method and a bit less rub. I, or rather the Smokin-It model #1, hit a home run. The ribs were on par with the best I have ever had. It is hard for me to believe how simple the model 1 is to use and how and how good these turned out. My biggest regret is not ordering the Smokin-It sooner.

After researching electric smokers for quite awhile, I came across the Smokin-It smokers, and am I ever glad I did! I own a Model 1, and have really put it through its paces! The smoker is very well-made, and I love that it's ALL stainless steel! No plastic or rubber to wear-out, fade or crack like on most of the "big-box" brands!

They have great customer service, and you'll be investing in a real American company!

If you are thinking about a Smokin-It, check out our forum. You'll find a whole bunch of really good folks who enjoy everything bbq, and their Smokin-It smokers! Come and hang-out awhile; it will make your decision to get one that much easier when you see lots of fantastic results from REAL users!

One recommendation - buy the biggest unit you can afford. You can always cook less in a larger smoker, but can never cook more in a smaller one! The model 1 is a fantastic unit, but I would have sprung for a #3 if I had known more about the smoker before.

I've tried them all, wood, electric, charcoal, gas, you name it. But this little smoker is "the Bomb". Wish I'd found it hundreds of dollars ago. Even a first timer will get great results using this smoker. Friends are supplying the ribs if I will smoke them in my smoker for a cookout. Can't beat that! Free ribs!

This Smoker packs a lot of punch!	January 24, 2013

This little thing is a beast. I am very impressed with this smoker. I live in Montreal and recently it has been anywhere from -25 to -42 celcius, and this thing still cooked up great pork butts, and ribs in the same time you would expect in the summer. It comes with 2 racks, but fits 3, I recommend ordering a 3rd rack, look at the fish rack, it works great for snack sticks too. I also recommend the cover, and the wood chip cover, it allows you the option to cook with chips instead of chunks if thats all you have. I researched smokers for about 4 months before deciding on this one, and i'm very happy with my decision. Also, the amount of food that can be cooked at one time is deceiving. I fit a 10 pound pork butt on the bottom shelf, and above it had room for mac n cheese and some ABT's, and still could have fit in a few more pounds of meat. Definitely a quality made product.

I have had this smoker for over a year, and it is the best smoker I have ever used. It is so easy to use, my wife wants to use it on a regular basis. You can smoke everything from Thanksgiving Turkey to Mac & Cheese. We liked it so much we bought one for my Dad for Christmas.
